Communication is fundamental to an effective DSE process. Keeping employees engaged and aware of what is happening, when it is happening and why it is happening yields the best results in our experience.
Not to mention the fact that we are all inundated with emails so a lot of what we receive at work can seem like noise or even phishing.
Below is a template email that we recommend our clients send to their team prior to sending out an online self assessment or home DSE assessment.
Subject: Online *homeworking/office desk assessments
As a part of *Your orginisation name’s commitment to your health and wellbeing when working from *home/the office, we will be sending out some training and an assessment in the coming days.
The training and assessment will take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and will help us ensure any risks associated with working from *home/the office are properly managed. It is important that you complete the training and assessment to ensure you are comfortable when working.
The training and assessment will be sent from email@example.com with a link contained to complete the assessment.
